A nonprofit with a provincial scope, Quartier Artisan has two complementary missions. On the one hand, to contribute to the revitalization of the Mégantic region and its central town, Lac-Mégantic, through the development and animation of artisan entrepreneurs in the handmade sector and small production businesses. Also, to bring together Quebec’s artisan entrepreneurs and support their professional development, so as to maximize their economic, social and cultural impact. 

Sarah Girouard serves as general manager of Quartier Artisan since 2018. She has been active in Quebec’s cultural scene for some twenty years. She sees arts and culture as powerful levers through which citizens structure their communities, tell fabulous stories and leave an authentic imprint of their passage through this world.
